Principals and Board Members

Our principals are invested in the Tampa Bay community, and own approximately 65% of the company. An asterisk indicates that the individual is also a Director of the Company.

Kathleen J. Belmonte, CTFA, AEP®

Kathy Belmonte serves her community as a board member for SERVE – Volunteers in Education and The Saunders Foundation. She also sits on the Partners Steering Committee of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. Kathy is a Past President/member of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council and is a past President of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. She is also a member of Working Women of Tampa Bay. Kathy is a graduate of Florida Trust School and holds the designations of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, and Accredited Estate Planner®. Kathy has more than 30 years of trust administration and investment experience.

Heather R. Boone, CFA

Heather Boone enjoys giving back to the community through her donations to the University Of Miami where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics. In addition, she spends her time benefiting this school's Alumni Association. Locally, Heather is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of CFA Tampa Bay. She participates in the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year committee, is a graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Tampa Class of 2009, and is actively involved in the Leadership Tampa Alumni committee. Heather is also a graduate of the Florida Trust School.

Brian H. Ceras 

Brian Ceras is committed to serving the St. Petersburg community. As a member of the Northeast Exchanged Club, he is actively involved in improving the lives of children and the prevention of child abuse. Brian is also a member of the Suncoast Estate Planning Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and is a graduate of the Florida Banker’s Association Graduate Trust School. Brian has nearly a decade of experience in trust administration and investment management.

Rose M. Cruz

Rose Cruz is committed to the Ocala community serving as the Estate Planning Council of Marion County's Treasurer. Additionally, she is involved as a member of the Villages Rotary Club. Rose was also involved on the Finance Committee at St. Theresa Catholic Church for many years. A graduate of Mercy College in New York, Rose is also a graduate of Florida Bankers Association Trust School. She has nearly 20 years experience in trust administration and investment management.

Ward J. Curtis, Jr.*
Chairman / CEO

Ward Curtis is firmly invested in the community. He has served on the Board of All Children's Hospital, American Stage Theater, The Arts Center, The Children's Dream Fund and a number of other local charities. He offers more than a quarter century experience in investment management and trust services. Mr. Curtis received a BSBA and an MBA from the University of Central Florida and is a member of the college’s Business Hall of Fame. He is also a graduate of the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College. He serves as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Company.

Gary W. Davis

Gary Davis enjoys an active lifestyle through volunteer activities with The Rotary Club of The Villages, Boy Scouts, The Planned Giving Committee of The American Cancer Society. He is a supervisor for the North Sumter County Utilities Dependent District and a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BA and MBA, Gary has more than 30 years of experience in investment management and trust management.

Lucas DeVicente, CFP®

Lucas DeVicente is a fifth generation resident of St. Petersburg and is deeply committed to the community. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete and an active volunteer with the Mayor's Mentors program. Lucas serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Petersburg Museum of History, and is a member of the Morean Arts Center Ambassadors Group. He also serves on the Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizens Award Committee. Lucas received his BS in Business and his Master's in International Business from the University of Florida. He is a holder of the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and a graduate of the Florida Banker's Trust School.

Kimberly A. Early

Kim Early has committed her personal time to her church and to youth activities. She serves as the past President of the Home & School Association at St. Raphael Catholic School and remains active with this group. Mrs. Early also devotes her time to CASA as a trustee and chairman of the planned giving committee. She provides more than a decade of experience in investment management. Mrs. Early received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.

William A. Eickhoff, CFA*

Bill Eickhoff serves on a number of local Boards of Directors, including the University of South Florida Foundation, the Sun n' Fun Aviation Foundation and The Florida Air Museum Inc. In the past, he has given of his time as a director of the Experimental Aircraft Association, The Children's Home Society, St. Anthony's Hospital and the USF Alumni Association. Mr. Eickhoff is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a member of the CFA Institute. He offers more than a quarter century of investment experience to his clients and received a BSBA and MBA from the University of South Florida.

Laurence R. Fasan*

Larry Fasan serves the community through his work on the All Children's Hospital Foundation, Planned Giving Committee. He also serves on the Planned Giving Committee for the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, is a member of the Suncoast Estate Planning Council, and is an Advisory Board Member for the Salvation Army St. Petersburg Area Command. He received a BA from Michigan State University and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He offers over a quarter century experience in trust administration and investment management.

Jennifer Garbowicz, CFA

Jennifer serves the community through her commitment to St. Anthony's Hospital where she is a lifetime member of the Auxiliary and serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation. She also serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President of CFA Tampa Bay. Jennifer received her bachelor's degree from Eckerd College and earned her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tampa. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, is a member of the CFA Institute, and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School.

Charles H. Kard, CFA

Charles Kard, a lifelong resident of St. Petersburg, is deeply committed to the Tampa Bay community. He supports child abuse prevention and other causes through his involvement in the Exchange Club of St. Petersburg, where he is a past President. Mr. Kard is a member of CFA Tampa Bay and the Suncoast Estate Planning Council, and is an active member, Past President and Finance Chairman of his church. Mr. Kard graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has over a decade of experience in investment management.

Elizabeth J. Knowles

Beth Knowles is committed to the community, giving her personal time and expertise to a variety of organizations. She serves on the Board of Trustees for both the St. Petersburg College Foundation and the Suncoast Hospice Foundation. She is a member of Business & Professional Women / St. Petersburg – Pinellas and of the St. Petersburg Palladium Advisory Committee as well as being on the Florida United Methodist Foundation’s Board of Directors. Ms. Knowles received a BA from the University of South Florida and completed National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Beth has more than 35 years of experience in trust administration and investment management.

Ronald E. Koepsel, JD, CTFA

Ron Koepsel enjoys giving back through his volunteer activities with The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, as an Advisory Board Member with The Non Profit Resource Center, which is affiliated with The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, and as a Board Member of the All Children's Hospital Foundation. Mr. Koepsel received a BA from Indiana University, a JD from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed attorney in Illinois and Florida. Ron also holds a Certified Trust and Financial Services Advisor (CTFA) designation and is a member of the SW Florida Estate Planning Council and the Sarasota County Bar Association.

Gerard J. Lachnicht, CFA

Gerard Lachnicht generously shares his extensive banking and investment management experience, not only with clients but also through teaching. Gerry is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned his BSBA and a Master of Science in Finance. He also served as a member of this university's Chapman Graduate School of Business Advisory Board, taught undergraduate courses as an adjunct professor for Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and was involved in the creation of FAU's Equity Research Analyst Program. Gerry holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation and held leadership roles for over 10 years, including a term as President of the CFA Society of South Florida.

Michael E. Longworth, AWMA®

Michael serves the greaterSarasotaandBradentoncommunities through his work with a variety of charitable causes.  His community involvement includes serving on the Board of the Education Foundation of Sarasota, the Board of Governors of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation and the Manatee Community Foundation’s Legacy Society Committee.  He is a member of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council and the Manatee County Estate Planning Council.  Michael attended the University of Tennessee and Branell College, earning his BS in Accounting. He is a holder of the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor designation and holds a certificate in Executive Education from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.  Mr. Longworth offers more than twenty years experience in portfolio management, trust administration and financial planning.

Kari C. Mainelli, CPA

Kari is dedicated to helping her community as demonstrated by her commitment to the Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation where she served as treasurer and is currently an advisor. Kari is a past treasurer of Lutheran Church of the Cross and currently serves on the Operational Support committee. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of St. Petersburg and a former big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Kari is a Certified Public Accountant and received her BS and Masters in Accounting from the University of Florida. She serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Susan S. Mittermayr *

Susan Mittermayr has generously invested herself in local business and community organizations. She is a member and past president of Suncoast Estate Planning Council,serves on the board of the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg and is an active member and past President of the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg. She serves as Treasurer of the Herbert G Brown Rotary Foundation and on the Parish Finance Council at St. Jude Cathedral. Mrs. Mittermayr's experience in investment management spans more than two decades. She received a BA from Erskine College and is a graduate of the Florida Graduate Trust School. Mrs. Mittermayr has also attended the Executive Education program at the Darden School of Business.

G. Lowe Morrison, CFA*

Lowe Morrison is committed to improving the communities and environment along his native west coast of Florida. He is a Trustee of the Frank E. Duckwall Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of Mote Marine Laboratory and on the Advisory Council of Tampa Bay Watch. Lowe is the Treasurer of the Sarasota Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. Lowe has more than 25 years of investment management experience. Mr. Morrison received a BS from the University of South Florida.

G. Bruce Mullin, CFA, CFP®

Bruce Mullin proudly served our country while in the United States Marine Corps. More locally, Mr. Mullin has been deeply involved to helping medically challenged children and adults through volunteering at the Easter Seals of Southwest Florida Inc. Bruce is currently serving on the Trustee's Committee of the Pinellas County Foundation. Mr. Mullin holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stetson University and an MBA from the University of South Florida. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Tampa Bay Society. Bruce has also earned a Certified Financial Planner designation.

Scott L. Pieper, CFA*

Scott Pieper is involved in a variety of charitable and philanthropic organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Conn Memorial Foundation. Mr. Pieper is a member of the CFA Institute and a Past President of CFA Tampa Bay. He received a BA from Lehigh University, an MBA from the University of South Florida and attended the Executive Education program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. Mr. Pieper is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School.

Brent L. Prudhomme 

Brent enjoys giving back to the St. Petersburg community through his work on the Police Athletic League board of trustees. This charity is committed to providing the underprivileged youth of St. Petersburg with the opportunity to become involved with positive activities such as athletics, recreation and education. Brent earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in Louisiana. He is also a 2010 graduate of the Florida Bankers Association Graduate Trust School. Brent has over seven years of experience in investment management and trust administration.
